Eros and Psyche’s triumph over obstacles in pursuit of love paralleled the recent wedding of my brother and his wife. Their union, during a period of cultural discord and through personal trials of time and distance, reminded me that in fact we still rise to celebrate moments of love and connection.

This piece was awarded 3rd place at the Texas Visual Arts Association’s “Interpretation of the Masters” competition and is currently displayed in TVAA’s online exhibition.
